With loads of mainstream games been covered in the media, here are a few indie games that you may not have heard much about that are coming to PS4.

The Witness

This 3D-puzzle adventure from Jonathan Blow (Braid developer) is set on a deserted lonely island. The setting and scenery are beautiful. The Witness is due out early 2014.

Don’t Starve

Don’t Starve is already available on the PC, where it has had rave reviews and plenty of success. The aim of the game is exactly as the title says… Don’t Starve.  Players control a character named ‘Wilson’, who’s trapped in a lonely wilderness world. How long can you survive? This is the aim of the game.

Mercenary Kings

If you love running, shooting, blowing things up, and general action, you’ll definitely like Mercenary Kings. The game was funded by Kickstarter and designed by the team behind Scott Pilgrim vs. the World: The Game. It will be released Q4 2013.

Octodad: Dadliest Catch

If you like a game that’s a little unique, bordering on the lines of bizarre, then you’ll surely like this indie title. Take control of an octopus who’s trying to be a human loving father, the idea of the game is to make sure you aren’t discovered as been an octopus. It’s not as simple as it sounds. You can test-drive the game before its PlayStation 4 release on the PC.
