EA Sports FC 27 is the fourth installment in the EA Sports FC franchise, launching worldwide on September 25, 2026 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC. Developed and published by EA Sports, the game continues the legacy of the FIFA series with significant community-driven innovations that deliver more true-to-football gameplay.

The headline feature is The Grounds — an open-world football district where streets meet the stadium. This shared football world brings Clubs mode into a 100-player playground, letting players explore, socialize, and compete in a vibrant football community. Iconic stadiums such as Wembley and the Bernabéu are featured alongside banners from the biggest clubs in world football like Liverpool and PSG. A statue of Zidane stands as one of the many homages to football greatness within The Grounds.

Football Ultimate Team (FUT) receives its biggest overhaul yet with the new FUT Gallery and flexible upgrade system. The FUT Gallery changes how players interact with their collection, while flexible upgrades give more control over player development. The ratings database launches with over 21,000 players, making it the most comprehensive football simulation ever created.

Career Mode features a rebuilt transfer market, Dynamic Overall Ratings (OVRs) that change based on performance, and Manager Live Creator Challenges that add narrative depth to management. The gameplay deep dive focused on manual defending, giving players more direct control over defensive actions, and smarter attacking movement that creates more organic attacking patterns.

The cover star is Kylian Mbappé, featured on both the Standard and Ultimate Edition covers. The Standard Edition cover is a vibrant design containing over 30 easter eggs referencing game modes and features, including a tribute to the late Diogo Jota with the FC Pro World Championship Trophy. The Ultimate Edition features Mbappé alongside Jude Bellingham.
