It has been revealed that Sony is ready to enter the virtual reality gaming arena for the PlayStation 4. The headset was due to be showcased at Gamescom, however, it was decided that the headset should be unveiled sometime next year. It has been suggested that Oculus, the company behind the Oculus Rift, could be acquired by Sony. However, this seems unlikely as Sony are said to be ready to launch their own virtual reality headset. Oculus showed off their Rift HD headset at Gamescom. The French Amazon website has already listed a special bundle which includes, Killzone Shadow Fall, a second Dual Shock 4 controller and the PlayStation 4 Camera. The bundle is priced at 499,99 Euros, which is around £425. Fergal Gara, Sony UK Chief said at Gamescom “We’re tremendously happy with our overall value proposition, whether that be the entry price point of the machine [or] the detailed bundles and combinations that we will put on shelf at retail which we haven’t fleshed out in detail as yet.” The above statement suggests that it wont be long before special bundles hit shelves…

If there’s only one thing that could dampen all of the excitement surrounding next-gen gaming, then it would have to be the uncertainty about GTA V and the PlayStation 4. The uncertainty has left many asking, will GTA V feature on PS4? If so, when? It would be hard to imagine that GTA V wouldn’t release on the PlayStation 4 at some point.
