The Dynasty Warrior games may be absurd in some regards, but they do have the redeeming quality that they try to be as accurate as possible. This is not as true in Godseekers as the franchise takes a little break from reality and indulges a little in the world of what if. The story is simple enough and the game also takes a vacation from the traditional hack and slash that has made it a household name for a number of years. There are also a number of other advantages that makes this one of the most sought out games so far.
One of the best features of the game is that you are now commanding several generals instead of one lone soldier that has the gory task of going around and killing people just because they can. This gives you a little more of a real objective to aim for instead of a simple kill them all campaign. You will still need to make sure that you get a good understanding of the moves that your character has and how these move sets affect their overall performance. Going out of your way to discover this will take a little bit of time at first, but will be well worth it in the long run.
You will need to make sure that you go slower with this game and see where do your enemy line up at in terms of how hard will it be to attack and deal out the most damage at once? You can learn this quickly if you are willing to sacrifice one or two of your men to get your feet wet. The graphics and music are a couple of the things that stand out with this game series. I played the previous game and this latest release and I will admit that the developers are onto something with this series of games and this is by far one of the best yet to come out.
A new addition to the party is the sync gauge that has been added to this version. This is important as with your units in sync with you, you can pack a power attack on certain enemies. You will have to go it alone a little to get the sync gauge to fill up, once you do and you have your units in the same position, you are ready to unleash hell. This will pack a much more powerful of an attack and will defeat the lesser defended enemy most times. Timed correctly, you can wreck the enemy forces and destroy enough to refill the gauge after it had been depleted.
For a follow up game in a series of other games, this is by far the one that will stand out and get peoples attention. It is one of the better products out there and will deliver the kind of results that you would expect from a game in this genre. You will want to make sure that you remember it is just a game and don't rip off your clothes and become an animal intent on killing as many enemies as possible.
